Sorry that I don't speak German. User can set from account settings notifications for expiration date approaching. This is fine, for default option, for simple users. I would recommend an advanced option: it should be given to the user upon entering a new item. the user is not compelled to chose it ( and if not then the default option is used) If user wants an advanced notification for expiration dates, then: (1) Per new item addition, user provides a number (a) indicating how often would he use this item, either per week, or per month (b). (2) The user gives another number for days (c) (3) Then the app calculates when it should notify the user. For example, if user gave the following parameters: For (a) = 1 For (b) = week For (c) = 30 And the available items are 5 then: Then the notification should be given: 5 1 7 + 30 = 65 days prior to the expiration day. This way, the user will have the time to consume this item (35 days) plus user has 30 days warning before these 35 days countdown start. For example, if I have 5 packs of 500gr spaghetti, I want to be warned at least 2 months prior. Because otherwise, if I am notified 10 days before, then I will have to eat spaghetti every day. If now the item in questions was 3 bottles of 1 liter milk, then 10 days are more than enough to comfortably consume these quantity of milk. Further improvements can be introduced if the same item has two separate entries with different expiration dates. I'm that case, if a later expiration date creates a notification withing the period of commotion of another entry, the the newer notification should be provided earlier for the amount of "common" days. I think the implementation is easy, because these a, b, and c parameters will be once unique for every item. A simple calculation could be made once reach entry is made for the new expiration date. In think this is a necessary improvement, on a rather already very well implemented system. I just subscribed to the app, and if it continues to improve, I will buy a lifetime license. Good job👍 so far that I saw
